On our last day of class in Human Relations, we had three presentations, the final ones, to sit through. class attendence was higher than last week becaue the weather was better, but the presentations were mediocre.
The first presentation was so hard to sit through, and as all presentations, it was an hour long. The topic was "cliques and stereotypes." The first part of the presentation was half an hour of a video created by the presentors, reiterating the same dull facts over and over again, without any real explination. Then we had to sit through another half an hour of them saying the same things over and over again (again!). Basically, they could have just shown us "Mean Girls" and we would have understood exactly what they were getting at.
The second group did their presentation on...something. Umm. I don't remember now, it was that unmemorable. Oh! Now I know. They did their presentation on racism. With a 10-15 minute Power Point presentation and talking, and then the rest of their presentation was fumbling around in the dark with the remote for the DVD player, showing us clips of "American History X" and explaining why these bits were racist, or this is how racism affects your family, or stuff like that. I almost fell asleep.
The third presentation was fun, with games that showed what it was like to be mentally impared by being drunk or high, so that was pretty good. I think we were all just ready to get out of there by the end.
ONE MORE DAY OF CLASSES!
